Holiday fire safety tips from our wonderful Brockton Fire Department.

Stay safe!Fire prevention safety tips for this holiday season:

💧🎄 Water your live Christmas tree daily to prevent it from becoming a fire hazard. A dry tree is highly flammable.

💡🏡 Use lights designated for either indoor or outdoor use as instructed by the manufacturer. Check for worn-out cords or loose bulb connections; replace them promptly.

🕯️🔌 Replace any string of lights with damaged cords or loose bulbs to avoid potential fire hazards.

🕯️🚫 Keep lit candles away from flammable decorations and materials. Consider using flameless candles as a safer alternative.

🌬️🕯️ Always extinguish lit candles and turn off all light strings and decorations before leaving the room or going to bed. This prevents accidents and reduces fire risks significantly.

Remember, these precautions can make a huge difference in ensuring a safe and delightful holiday season for everyone!
