Courtney Henderson is a dedicated professional with a strong academic background and a passion for civic engagement and political advocacy. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Courtney earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from Fisk University. She furthered her education with a Master’s degree in International Relations from Harvard University.

In her current role, Courtney leverages her comprehensive expertise in municipal government, elections, American political systems, and foreign policy to spearhead impactful initiatives as the Director of Immigration Affairs. As a committed leader, she diligently addresses the complex challenges and evolving dynamics within the immigration landscape.

Beyond her directorial responsibilities, Courtney actively contributes to the community as an Executive Board Member of the Brockton NAACP. Holding the chair position for the WIN Committee, she strategically advances initiatives promoting the empowerment of women and fostering diversity.

Courtney’s professional influence extends to her position as a Board of Director for the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, where she serves as the Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. In this pivotal role, she shapes the organization’s commitment to upholding fair and accessible democratic processes.

Before assuming her current directorial position, Courtney demonstrated her skills as the Multilingual Information Coordinator in the Office of Immigrant Affairs for the City of Somerville, reinforcing her dedication to community engagement.
