John M. Messia is a lifelong resident of the city of Brockton and a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School. After high school, John actively served for four years in The United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. John attended Bridgewater State College majoring in business. He is the owner of Mr. John’s Limousine Service and Mr. John’s Transportation for the last 30 years. John is a community organizer for state and local campaigns for advocacy including Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He was the recipient of the Senator Kennedy Advocacy Award. He has served as the chairperson for numerous public safety, communications, security, and transportation committees. John currently serves as the  Chair of the Health Equity Taskforce and Mayor Sullivan’s Wellness Trust Team.
