Last night the Brockton School Committee chaired by Mayor Robert F. Sullivan voted unanimously to begin the first term of the 2020-2021 school year with a fully remote program due to a recent increase in COVID-19 cases. The Brockton School Committee will review the City’s active COVID cases every two weeks. Brockton Public Schools will transition to a hybrid or an in-person learning model when it is deemed safe to do so upon the Brockton Board of Health’s advice. A complete virtual learning program will still be available to students whose families would prefer to keep them home through the 2020-2021 school year.
