ROAD CLOSURES ON NOVEMBER 30th – please be advised that there will be road closures and traffic conditions this Saturday during the Holiday Parade and Celebration.

8:00 a.m.
School Street from Montello Street to Main Street closed to all general traffic.

10:30 a.m.
Belmont Street and West Elm Street from Warren Avenue to Main Street closed to all general traffic.

11:00 a.m.
All roads in and around the Downtown area where the holiday celebration and parade will take place closed to general traffic.

Approximately 3:30 pm
Roads (except School and Lincoln Streets) will reopen when the majority of pedestrians have left the area.

Between 5:00 and 6:00 pm
School Street and Lincoln Street will open after the Winter Wonderland event ends and vendors have left.

Trash/Recycling/Yard Waste pick-up delay this week due to Thanksgiving.

Thursday’s trash will be picked up on Friday.
Friday’s trash will be picked up on Saturday.

Screenshotting, by the way. Funny…the same city government that picks up trash also covers up and promotes trash.

If that had been ANYONE ELSE (a civilian…a Council member), they would've spent the night in jail (after sobriety and blood tests) and faced charges.

See you Saturday!We’re excited to invite you to our very first Winter Wonderland Event on November 30, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the parking lot of 26 School Street—right alongside the City of Brockton’s Holiday Parade!

Come on down and join us in our cozy, heated tent. We have a DJ ready to play all your favorite holiday tunes, and our carolers will be spreading the Christmas cheer. You won’t want to miss the delicious treats we’ll have—think popcorn, cotton candy, and hot chocolate to warm you up!

Picture this: a frosty day with magical fog and snowflakes, where kids can meet their favorite holiday characters, such as Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, and Rudolph.

We’ll also have cool giveaways from various resource tables and lots of helpful information from different agencies.

It will be a fantastic day, and we hope you can make it!

A big shoutout to the Shannon Community Safety Initiative and the City of Brockton for helping bring this event to life. We can’t wait to see you there!
