Patricia Sanon, Director of Community Engagement, City of Brockton

Patricia Sanon has long been dedicated to improving the lives of others. She began her career in Haiti, where, shortly after graduating from college, she worked as an HIV/AIDS program manager with the Esther Boucicault Foundation and other United Nations agencies in Haiti. After immigrating to the United States in 2004, Patricia continued her commitment to service as a medical case manager at the Center for Community Health and Research (CCHER). After the earthquake hit Haiti in 2010, Patricia continued her community work by launching a radio program for the Haitian diaspora, an initiative that remains active today. The program promotes civic engagement while delivering important information to the listeners.
Patricia began her work with the City of Brockton during the administration of the late Mayor Bill Carpenter. She was involved in his mayoral campaign and, following his election, served as an unofficial liaison between his administration and Brockton’s Haitian community, ensuring their voices were heard and represented.
In 2026, Patricia was appointed Director of Community Affairs under Mayor Moises Rodrigues. In this role, she leads outreach and advocacy efforts that support Brockton’s diverse population. She is currently developing a new Community Advisory Council to further strengthen collaboration between residents and city leadership.
Beyond her public service, Patricia is an entrepreneur. She owns an immigration services company and co-owns Signature Kitchen, a Haitian restaurant, alongside Haitian Community Partners Director Marline Amedee.
In 2023, Patricia was honored as a Commonwealth Heroine by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. This program recognizes women who make outstanding contributions to their organizations and communities. It is a very appropriate recognition for Patricia.
Patricia is the proud mother of an adult daughter who works in finance and accounting. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world with her fiancee, especially embarking on cruises.
The City of Brockton proudly honors Patricia Sanon for her dedicated service to underrepresented populations, for choosing Brockton as the home for her businesses and residence, and for her ongoing commitment to strengthening the community.
