The parking ban was lifted at 1:00 PM today (Monday, March 2). Because today is a workday, vehicles parked in City lots must be removed by 7:00 PM this evening.
The Department of Public Works (DPW) is clearing sidewalks in front of schools and removing snow from street corners to improve visibility for drivers. Crews are prioritizing main intersections and school areas to help students and motorists travel safely.
We remind residents to clear fire hydrants and sidewalks in front of their homes
The regular winter parking ban is in effect through April 1, and restricts parking as follows:
- No parking on the even-numbered side of the street between 12:00 AM and 7:00 AM
- No parking on either side of designated major roads for the entire winter season

The City thanks the DPW, first responders, Brockton Police, Brockton Emergency Management, the Building and Parks Departments, and all staff who supported snow removal efforts. We also thank residents and businesses for their cooperation.
Although this recent storm brought historic snowfall, we know our response did not meet everyone’s expectations. We appreciate your patience and are reviewing what worked and what needs improvement to better prepare for future storms.
