Following state statutes and Department of Revenue (DOR) regulations, the Board of Assessors is completing the FY 2026 Quinquennial Revaluation of all real and personal property in the City of Brockton. Revaluation is a year-long process when the DOR examines in detail all assessing methodologies used by Brockton, as well as the values derived through the mass appraisal system.
These values are PENDING PRELIMINARY CERTIFICATION APPROVAL by the DOR. The values are subject to change within the disclosure period. The public review will run from Wednesday, November 19, 2025 through Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
The proposed Fiscal Year 2026 (value as of January 1, 2025) valuations will be available for the taxpayer to review on the City’s website; www.Brockton.ma.us and in the Assessors’ office located in the basement of City Hall Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. If you wish to obtain a copy of your property record card, you should call the Assessor’s Office and one will be mailed to you. The Assessor’s Office number is (508) 580-7194.
Market trends may indicate that different property types may change in value more or less than other property types. On average, Class 101, single family homes increased in value by 8%, Class 102, condominiums increased in value by 8%, Class 104, two family homes increased in value by 7%, Class 105, three family homes increased in value by 3%. Apartment Class 111’s and 112’s increased in value by 14% The Commercial class increased by 6% and the Industrial class increased by 15%.
