Shirley Asack is a lifelong resident of Brockton. Her mother and father immigrated to the United States from Lebanon in 1977. As a daughter of immigrant parents, she was raised in a working class family. With this she brings a first-hand understanding of the immigrant experience.
Shirley has made both her life and her living in Brockton. She graduated from Brockton High School and went on to study French at Paris-Sorbonne University and earned a degree in design and business from a private college in Paris, France. With her international experience she is able to recognize the importance of different cultures in the community and the need for customer service on a day to day basis.
Shirley is fluent in three languages, English, French and Arabic. Shirley’s professional experience ranges from design, sales, customer service as well as the financial industry. This helped her create and market her own business since 2004. She and her husband, Ghaleb Younes, are the proud parents of two girls: Alexandra, age 16, and Georgina, age 14. Both girls attend Brockton Public Schools. As a mother and a small business owner, Shirley has profound investments in the future of the City of Brockton. She looks forward to continued collaborations with her colleagues and to serve her community in order to make positive changes. Shirley is committed to you and dedicated to progress.
