Anyone that’s ever lived by or driven the New England coastline has probably stopped to admire as least one lighthouse along the way. Did you know that August 7^th is National Lighthouse Day?  It was on this day in 1789, that Congress approved an Act for the establishment and support of lighthouses, beacons buoys and public piers.
