SPECIAL LICENSE COMMISSION MEETING

The License Commission held a Special Meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, via ZOOM. Present were, Commissioners Scott Uhlman, Janet Landerholm, Abraham Belice, Christine Derome, Katrice Gerald, Lt. David Farrell, Deputy Chief Weeks, Captain Mark Porcaro, Patrick Hill, and Executive Assistant Silvia Carvalho.
- Hearing on a request from Ana Frederico for a Special Event Permit for a CV Election Day Event to be held on April 12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. beginning and ending at 80 Perkins Avenue.
Present was Ms. Ana Frederico of 1 Childers Drive, West Bridgewater, MA.
Deputy Chief Weeks stated that the fire suppression and emergency lights are all set, pending police department guidance. Ms. Frederico stated PACV/MPD groups are hosting an election day event. Lt. Farrell stated the area would need to be barriered with cars. He also suggested they have 2 police derails on stand-by if they close the street. Captain Porcaro stated they can close down Wales Avenue and station one towards the church.
Chairman Uhlman asked him what about Frye’s Cigar? Captain Porcaro replied, he would rather have someone at the southern most closure point near the church, because cars try to go north. Chairman Uhlman asked if they can park at Tamboo? they are expecting 200 people the day of the event. Patrick stated he has no issues as long as it is coordinated. These events must be safe and kept clean, and does not want to send a street sweeper there. Ms. Frederico replied, it is mostly inside.
Commissioner Landerholm asked Ms. Frederico if the DJ will be inside? She replied, they will be outside until 8:00 p.m., and there will be no alcohol outdoors.
A motion was made by Commissioner Landerholm to approve the permit. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Derome. The board then voted by roll call with all members voting in the negative except for Chairman Uhlman.

A motion was made by Commissioner Derome to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Landerholm and made unanimous by vote of the members present.
