Treasurer’s Report Howard Fund $6784.55 as of the end of February 2026

BOD Chair Report

          Anniversary Planning Meeting is on the 2nd Monday of the month at 11, All are invited to participate

Director’s Report

          Happy Easter to all; Easter came early

          Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at The Chateau on 4/23

          BOD contact info and term dates provided

          Christinna and Macey continue to do a great job with Activities

          Christinna, Lauren and Jance are in the process to receive MCOA Certification

          150 New COA Members as of January

          Record number of people attended events on 3/27; 143

          Wellness Program has seen 143 participants since inception. 2 people were seen with dangerously high blood pressure or blood sugar jn which the nurses were able to refer them for immediate care

          Lauren Christinna and Janice are in training for Serve Safe Training

FY 2027 Budget is planned for level funding with only the utility costs  line item being increased

Assistant Director’s Report

Mass Aging Access Older Adults Lobby Day,  will be held on Wednesday, May 6th, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at The Great Hall, Massachusetts State House. If you are interested in attending, OCES will be providing bus transportation and has reserved two spots for each Council on Aging. You may also RSVP and attend using your own transportation if you prefer. Please let me know if you would like to attend by April 24th.

Taxes for 254 individuals were completed so far for 2025 taxes. Program ends 4/15

Mass Health appointments for April are fully booked

OCPC grants have increased from 374 to 483 participants by the end of March

Wellness Nursing is seeing a lot of members

          Rick is attending training sessions for Medicare

Attends BHA meetings

Shares info on BCOA with community nurturing group

Fuel assistance will end on 4/30, but will restart in November
