Each year, we pause to honor the men and women who served during one of the most challenging conflicts in American history. It is a day not only of remembrance, but of recognition. Many Vietnam veterans returned home without the gratitude they deserved, and today, we strive to correct that.
In 2025, the City honored the 18 Brocktonians killed in action in Vietnam. The moving ceremony was attended by members of the community, friends and family members of the 18, veterans, school children, and individuals who were interested in showing their gratitude. You can view the slideshow honoring the 18 here.
As our City marks Vietnam Veterans Day, we reaffirm our gratitude and respect, not just for those who have passed, but those still living with the memories. The City of Brockton remembers your courage, acknowledges your service, and welcomes you home.
