Construction of the Montello Street Water Transmission Main Replacement is scheduled to begin April 20, 2026, and continue through August 2026. Work includes replacing the 20-inch water main on Montello Street (from Crescent Street to Lawrence Street), upgrading water services to property lines, and replacing hydrants, pavement, sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, and curbing, along with traffic management and site cleanup.
Final paving is planned for fall 2026 or spring 2027. During construction, Montello Street will be reduced to one lane or fully closed, with detours in place.
