The Brockton Utilities Division will conduct a water main flushing program starting September 8,2025 and continue through September 25,2025. The majority of the work will be done between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and I :00 a.m. The activity will cause discolored water in varying degrees in all sections of the city. Persons who experience water discoloration should clear their water systems by opening the cold-water faucet for several minutes and then wait about an hour.
If water is still not clear, they should repeat the flushing procedure. Every effort will be made to keep inconvenience to the users at a minimum. The Public Works Department – Utilities Division cannot be responsible for any damages incurred as a result ofthe activity, which is a necessary and normal maintenance function.
