Due to a failure on one of the transmission water mains the City of Brockton is experiencing some dirty water in its distribution system. This issue has caused discolored water in varying degrees in all sections of the city. Persons who experience water discoloration should clear their water systems by opening the cold water faucet for several minutes and then wait about an hour. If the water is still not clear, they should repeat the flushing procedure. Every effort will be made to keep this inconvenience to customers to a minimum.
