The City of Brockton and the Brockton Emergency Management Agency will open a cooling center at the Brockton Main Library, 304 Main Street on Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24 from 12pm until 9pm both days.
Stay cool during hot weather, focus on hydration, clothing choices, and finding ways to reduce your body temperature. Drink plenty of water, wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing, and seek shade or air conditioning when possible. Also, consider taking cool showers or baths and limiting strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day and remember to check on older adults, children and people with certain illnesses and chronic conditions are at greater risk from extreme heat.
