🌟 11th Annual Reading Frederick Douglass Together
📍 Frederick Douglass Garden, Brockton

Be part of a powerful Brockton tradition! Join neighbors, friends, and community leaders for our 11th Annual Reading of Frederick Douglass’ iconic speech:
“What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?”

This annual event—hosted by the Frederick Douglass Neighborhood Association—brings our community together to reflect, honor, and raise our voices in unity. 🌍 Brockton proudly stands out as the only city in Massachusetts to read the speech in multiple languages, including Haitian Creole, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, Vietnamese, Lithuanian, and more.

🎤 Want to read? Volunteer? Or just attend and be inspired?
We welcome all!
