The City of Brockton is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, September 16th at 7 pm via Zoom to gather input from residents and businesses regarding the development of a public policy and design guidelines that support parklets.

A parklet is a sidewalk extension that provides more space and amenities for people using the street. They are most commonly used for outdoor dining associated with restaurants.   Usually parklets are installed on parking lanes and use several parking spaces. Parklets typically extend out from the sidewalk at the level of the sidewalk to the width of the adjacent parking space.
