Impact of Cyberattacks on Voting and Technology on Civic Engagement – a virtual event

Today, living in a digital democracy, technology has broadened opportunities for civic engagement while increasing the risks of attacks on the right to vote. Panelists will present information and address questions about how MA is protecting the right to vote and countering cyberattacks. Panelists include Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan, Stephanie Helm, MassCyberCenter Director at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, Steven Frechette, Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity, Bristol Community College, and Andrea McLaughlin, Youth Program Manager, MassHIre Greater New Bedford Workforce Board. The panel moderator is Suzanne Bump, Massachusetts State Auditor and Member of the Easton Shovel Town Cultural District Committee and the Borderland Suffrage Committee.
