young students set up to march in Huntington Parade. They are wearing blue shirts and carrying American flags.

Support our Brockton Public Schools students as they showcase their patriotism and their talents at the 127th Brockton Huntington Parade! One of Brockton’s oldest traditions, this event has been enjoyed by generations in Brockton.

The Huntington Parade was first held at the Huntington School in 1897 to honor fallen soldiers and veterans. The school’s first principal, John Rackliffe, started the tradition. Since then, it has only been canceled twice due to COVID in 2020 and 2021.

Who will march in the parade?
Gilmore School students in grades K-5, Downey School students in Grades K-3 and Grade 5 student leaders, and Promise College and Career Academy will march in the parade.

The North, South, East, West, Ashfield and Plouffe middle school bands, Davis Elementary School band and Brockton High School Band will provide the soundtrack.

Mayor Rodrigues, JROTC, fire department apparatus, members of the School Committee, City Council, and district leadership will also participate.
