On Friday, May 1st, Family and Community Resources, Inc., is once again “Off to the Races” to end domestic violence, as we host our annual Spring Gala fundraiser with a Kentucky Derby themed Casino Night with this year’s Honorary Event Chair, Brockton’s Mayor Robert F. Sullivan. The event will be held at Thorny Lea Golf Club from 6:30 – 10:30 pm. Our 2020 Spring Gala promises to be an uplifting and fun-filled night with friends and like-minded philanthropists and will include the presentation of the 2020 Wayne McAllister Community Service Award to FCR Board Member and, Beth Scherer, Vice President – Jiten Hotel Management. Besides her extensive volunteer work in the community, since joining the FCR Board in 2017, Beth is passionate about helping the children and families who come to FCR. The night will also include a powerful survivor story and highlight the increasing demand for advocacy, counseling, and crisis services at FCR.
