Discussing Douglass
May 6 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join the Frederick Douglass Neighborhood Association for a lively discussion that will provoke new thoughts and relevance around Frederick Douglass’ historical writings. The selected reading for this discussion is excerpt from a speech entitled “I Am a Radical Woman Suffrage Man” delivered in Boston, Massachusetts, 28 May 1888 . This selection addresses the concept of how two people, raised in the same house in the same way, can end up having different rights. We hope it will lead to a good conversation about the times, what has changed, what is the same, how this shows up in different ways.
