Being a Police Officer while Black and Female

Trooper Melinda Brown is returning to Brockton Public Library. Trooper Brown will talk about her journey with the Massachusetts State Police. She will speak about her experience with the academy as well as her new position within the Attorney General’s Office. She will talk about the balance of being qualified and worthy of the title Trooper. In addition to that subject, she will talk about the myths surrounding what it means to work as a woman of color within the realm of Law Enforcement.
