COVID-19 Vaccine Update, April 22nd, 2021

As of April 19, Health Care For All (HCFA) canvassers has been working for DPH, going door to door sharing facts about the COVID-19 vaccines, appointments, and services. They are wearing t-shirts and/or hoodies that say "Trust the Facts. Get the Vax" on the front. They also have lanyards around their necks to help with identifying themselves to residents.

The canvassers will be working Monday to Friday from 2 pm - 8 pm.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update, April 5th, 2021

Today, residents 55+ and individuals with one medical condition are eligible to begin receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. It is also important to note that 16 and 17 year olds will only be allowed to receive the Pfizer vaccine, while those who are 18+ can receive all 3 vaccines. On April 19th, all general public 16+ will be eligible to get vaccinated

COVID-19 Vaccine Update, March 17th, 2021

Today, Governor Baker announced that residents 60+ and certain workers (including transit, grocery, utility, food and agriculture, sanitation, public works, and public health) will be eligible for a COVID vaccine on March 22nd. Residents 55+ and individuals with one medical condition will be eligible on April 5th. Lastly, the general public over the age of 16 will be eligible on April 19th

Governor Baker has announced that a new pre-registration signup tool will be available for the state’s 7 mass vaccination sites beginning Friday, March 12. The new system will make it easier to request and book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at a nearby location when they are available. The Commonwealth will add more sites to the pre-registration system in the coming weeks. This tool will be available at http://mass.gov/COVIDvaccine.

Vaccine Update:
Residents without access to technology (and everyone who has questions) can reach out to Brockton’s new Vaccine Helpline at 508-580-0289. Veterans can make appointments to be vaccinated at the Brockton VA Medical Center by calling 800-865-3384.

For Brockton residents who are awaiting their second COVID shot from the City Board of Health, these appointments will take place at The Shaw’s Center, located at 1 Lexington Ave, Brockton, MA, 02301. The Board of Health will be calling residents a few days before the second shot is administered to coordinate. If you need assistance or have further questions, please call the City Vaccine Help Line at 508-580-0289.

COVID-19 Vaccine Updates Will be Listed Below as they Become Available

COVID-19 Update, March 4th, 2021

Yesterday, Governor Baker announced that K-12 Educators, Child Care Workers and K-12 Staff are eligible for vaccine appointments starting on March 11th. Educators will be able to make appointments at all locations that are open for eligible residents in the Commonwealth. For more information, please visit: https://www.mass.gov/covid-19-vaccine.

Brockton Residents Aged 65+ and Residents with Two or More Specific Medical Conditions Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine as of February 18th, 2021.

Brockton Vaccinations Update, 2/19/21

Vaccine Update: All Brockton residents 65 and older and residents with two or more specific medical conditions are now eligible through the Commonwealth to get vaccinated for COVID-19, in addition to all of those who were identified as part of Phase 1. The City’s COVID-19 vaccine clinic has relocated from Brockton High School to the Shaws Center (1 Lexington Ave, Brockton, MA 02301). In order to relay information regarding the COVID-19 vaccination distribution process and for the Board of Health to schedule vaccinations for those that are eligible, there is a City of Brockton information form that can be found here. The City will be conducting outreach to get every citizen who wants a vaccination registered, including those without access to technology.

Please be aware that the City’s weekly vaccine quantity is still limited so we appreciate your patience. It may take several weeks to get an appointment. As we receive more information, we will update everyone.

If you are a veteran, you can make an appointment to be vaccinated at the VA by calling (800) 865-3384.

Steward Medical Group is accepting appointments for COVID-19 vaccine for patients. Patients of Steward should call their primary care doctors to inquire about vaccination appointments. Good Samaritan Hospital is a part of the Steward Medical Group.

Call System for Appointments: The Commonwealth has a 2-1-1 Mass Vaccine Scheduling Resource line for individuals who need assistance with making vaccine appointments and cannot access the website. Callers will be able to speak with a live representative who can assist them with this process. Translators will also be available to help. This service will be available from Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 8:00 pm and Friday through Sunday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Massachusetts Vaccine Finder: The Commonwealth has launched a COVID-19 Vaccine Finder to make it easier to find vaccine locations and to see the availability at certain sites across the State. The tool can be found here.

Brockton Vaccinations Update, 2/4/21

Steward Medical Group is now accepting appointments for COVID-19 vaccine for patients 75+. Patients of Steward should call the scheduling hotline to make their appointments. Steward has also been notifying their patients.

Brockton Vaccinations Update, 2/3/21 - Amended 3/10/21 

Brockton Veterans: If you are a veteran aged 75+, please make an appointment to be vaccinated at the Veteran's Association (VA). Call (800) 865-3384 to make an appointment.
