Exemption Qualifications
SENIORS (17D) $234.20
- One homeowner must be 70 years old on or before July 1st of the current year Must bring in driver license or birth certificate
- Income is NOT taken into consideration
- Assets cannot exceed $51,071.00 (This does NOT include your primary residence or vehicles)
- Copies of all bank statements are required including checking, savings, stocks, CD's, IRAS, bonds and securities as of July 1st of the current year
SENIORS (41C) $1000.00
- Also, able to abate the REFUSE BILL with DPW (3rd floor)
- One homeowner must be 65 years old on or before July 1st of the current year
- If the property is held in a trust, we will need to see the schedule of Beneficiaries page
- Must bring in Driver license or birth certificate
- Income IS taken into consideration
- A single person cannot exceed $22,663.00 in annual income
- A married couple cannot exceed a combined $33,994.00 in annual income
- (Social security statements, pension statements and documentation of any Income must be provided including rental income)
- (Copy of previous year's income tax filing) REQUIREMENT
- ** *If you do not file an income Tax Income Return, a request for transcript of Tax Return (Form 4506-T) must be filed. We have these forms in our office for your convenience.

- Assets cannot exceed $62,323.00 for a married couple
