MAYOR’S COMMUNITY ADVISORY COUNCIL

A Seat at the Table for Every Neighborhood.

Brockton is at its best when we work together. Mayor Moises Rodrigues knows that the best ideas for our city don't just come from City Hall—they come from the people living on our streets, raising families in our neighborhoods, and running our local businesses.

That’s why we are launching the Mayor’s Community Advisory Council (CAC). We are looking for 11 residents to help us bridge the gap between city government and the community. This is your chance to share your perspective, help solve local challenges, and make sure every voice in Brockton is heard.

WHAT IS THE COUNCIL’S ROLE?

As a member, you’ll spend a one-year term working directly with the Mayor’s Office. We’ll meet once a month at City Hall to:

  1. Speak Up: Bring community concerns, like public safety, youth programs, and city services, directly to leadership.
  2. Problem Solve: Form small groups to tackle specific issues in our neighborhoods.
  3. Guide the Future: Help write an annual report that suggests where the city should focus its budget and energy next year.
  4. Connect: Help your neighbors stay informed about what’s happening at City Hall and how they can get involved.

APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP

Interested in serving on the Community Advisory Council? You don’t need a background in politics or government to apply. We are looking for everyday leaders who:

  • Live in Brockton and care deeply about our city’s future.
  • Are already active in their neighborhoods, churches, or local groups.
  • Enjoy collaborating with people from all different backgrounds.
  • Can talk through tough issues and help us find constructive solutions.

We want this council to look like Brockton. Whether you’ve lived here for fifty years or five, your voice matters. Please submit your application by April 14, 2026.
