Mayor’s Pothole Hotline Returns for 2017

BROCKTON – Mayor Bill Carpenter has announced once again a two-prong approach to reporting potholes in the city. The Mayor announced today the traditional Mayor’s Pothole Hotline will return this spring effective immediately. The Mayor also announced residents will be able use their smart phone or computer via See-Click-Fix to report potholes in an effort to make the process of reporting potholes as easy and seamless as possible.

“Each year at this time we take on the challenge of repairing potholes across the city.” Said Carpenter. “We are asking residents to report the most dangerous potholes so our DPW highway crews can repair them immediately. The return of our pothole hotline and See-Click-Fix system will give Brockton residents a chance to report the most dangerous potholes directly to The Mayor’s Office and see results.”

Three years ago, the Mayor established the Pothole hotline at 508 897-1306 to report any potholes from anywhere in the city. In recent years the mayor’s pothole hotline was enhanced by See-Click-Fix. DPW highway crews are responding to the pothole complaints as soon as possible.

Residents can use their computers, tablets or smartphones to use See-Click-Fix to report the pothole problems. See-Click-Fix can be found on the City’s Homepage under the Announcement Category or on Mayor Bill Carpenter’s Facebook page. There is also an instructional video on the City webpage to familiarize residents with See-Click-Fix.

“When I first took office I promised that we would make City Hall more technologically accessible and this is a major example,” said Carpenter. “This provides another level of accountability so the residents’ concerns will be addressed while allowing residents a faster and more convenient way to voice their concerns to city government.”

Residents can use the hotline at 508 897-1306 or See-Click-Fix 24 hours a day. The residents have the option to download a photo with each See-Click-Fix request.
